Trying to make sense of it all and . . . for the most part . . . doing it.

I used to love to walk thru the forest behind our home when we had a dog. He’d run a little ways up ahead, always looking back to make sure I was still there. He was the best.
Awwww . . . . Yes, we were there with our two black pups (one more old curmudgeon than pup). I love the spot with all the pines. The smell when the warm sun hits them, the green in the bleak of winter, the pine cones, and the soft spongy needles to walk on. Someday I’d like to bring a blanket and lay down there.
Sounds Awesome Jean. 🙂 A blanket would be great!
Funny how you brought up pine needles today, I noticed so many places were covered with pine needles today, places I had never noticed before and it made me smile.
My favorite is right before everything starts coming back to life in the earliest of spring. The sun hits the pines and the sap starts running . . . and the SMELL!
