If you haven’t already picked up a bottle, Pepper Geek may provide the nudge you need. They write, “the smooth, rich texture is satisfying, and the unique pepper and vinegar forward flavor is addictive.” It might be worth risking addiction.

    1. Marie Sharp’s is the genuine habanero pepper pioneer, and producer of the world’s best tasting Hot Sauces. Her family farm has been producing sauces for more than 40 years in Belize and employs dozens of hard-working villagers.

Many brands attempt to replicate the Marie Sharps recipe – including this one – which is the original carrot-based formula.

  1. Who Tha Fak wrote this list….not amused. There is an entire world of hot sauce and I wouldn’t put any of these on the hottest.

  2. I have tried many hot sauces, but I’ve never found anything better than Tabasco. Still my go-to hot sauce.

  3. These ‘experts’ are not people who enjoy hot foods. They are the ones who put a tiny drop of Tabasco on food, sweat profusely and claim how “hot” it is.
Anyone who uses “kick” in a review of hot sauce, doesn’t know hot sauce.

None of these ‘experts'” picks are hot. They are above mild…at best. If you want hot…not “kick”, try Dave’s Insanity Ghost Pepper or Carolina Reaper…and go from there. Or…buy some fresh ghost peppers, habaneros or Thai dragons, cut some up and put them in a dish.

  4. I would have loved to read this article but the constant ads flying across my screen, and video overlaying content just littered the entire area, making it impossible. Unbelievable. Advertisers are their own worst enemies.

  5. The fact that Tabasco sauce was not even mentioned, not even in the Honorable Mention list discredits this article completely. Tabasco is an excellent blend of heat and flavor. I’ve used a great many hot sauces including some listed here. Tabasco strikes the appropriate balance of heat and flavor.

  6. My favorite hot sauce, Tabasco, didn’t get recognized? I’ve not found a hot sauce I like better, but I do use Yellowbird Habenero on street tacos.
